Anker Bluetooth Speaker

I was given a bluetooth speaker, one of those ball-shaped ones. It was small, but it actually worked quite well. 

So well, that i bought this Anker bluetooth speaker as an upgrade/replacement for it. 

However, despite the rave reviews this speaker enjoys, i found the sound gutless, muddled and lacking punch. Sure, it was better than the free one, but this cost me £30.

Perhaps i expected too much.
